We ventured to the new Sellwood venue The Woods to see Jeffrey Foucault play tonight. Bit disappointed by the unannounced opener and the late start time, but Jeffrey was as always fantastic. We didn’t stay for much of Anais Mitchells set, but she seemed an interesting performer.

Paul and Storm at the Aladdin Theater. Arr!!!

The Seattle Men’s Chorus (and Jennifer Holliday) kick off our holiday season with a great concert, including this lovely scene from the sing-along Winter Wonderland.

Ani at the Moore. Couldn't see her, but she sounded great!

Bellingham show, full dress concert. Note jaunty 50's scarf!

The Seattle Mens Chorus and Rick Steves… And Cheese, the gourmet diversity spokesfood.

Seattle grammar nazis, gotta love ‘em. As seen in Old Ballard.

Saw Kris Delmhorst at the Tractor, with T, Tom, & Kate. Her new CD is awesome (actually both of them are), so go get them when they come out next month!

Crummy photo, but we saw Tori at the Paramount Thursday night. I’ve decided I’m definetely getting too old for this type of show — I practically wrote a novel in my head about my distaste for the dancing girls two rows up from us (dance if you must, but can you try to dance with the music, at least?), and the opening act again disappointed.
Guys, I’m getting all old and grumpy?

Iron & Wine, at the Moore Theater. The opening band was an hour of my life I will never get back, but the show was good after they left!

Buffy sing-along show at the Egyptian… Cellphone tribute during Giles' rock ballad.
