If this is all they accomplished on day one, I have serious doubts about this being a 4 day project. They didn't even finish taking the sides off of our unit.
Just saying.
Update: Ammended length of project is through May 9th. Damn them, my seed babies need fresh air!
Handed over the keys to my old apartment last night. I’d lived there for two years — longer than I’d lived anywhere since leaving for college in 1996, and if you count the switching houses as a teenager, longer that my clothes have stayed in one closet since I was 13.
Goodbye, tiny apartment!

A branch of one of my tomato plants broke off the other day, so I made fried green tomatoes.
Tomatoes are popping up all over on my patio… 4 plants going, but one of them is obviously going to try to drown me in mid-sized tomatoes come the first week in August. Beware, the person who agrees to house sit for me the week I’m backpacking!!

A really big snap pea from the patio…

Between recovering from vacation and that exciting iDay we all had Friday, my week disappeared!! But here it is Saturday and I am rebelling by doing exactly nothing but watch my plants grow.
My patio is growing very fast these days!

I completed step one in my plan to set up a watering system on the balcony: the planter shelf is completely finished! But then I ran out of materials. Could it be that I gave too many plants?
Took some shots of my garden today while the weather was beautiful, they are at Flickr for you to see! Click the picture to see the rest…

Nice day, huh?
