Holiday Spirit

Read Before Burning

Hung out and played boardgames and burned leaves in Talina's living room last night. She's got a fantastic view of the Space Needle, as you can see. the little lump up front is her cat, Samhain.

It's snowing like mad, real winter weather! I just drove home late from Woodinville after a work dinner with out-of-town co-workers... ick. driving and freezing rain do not mix! But I am safely home, thankful for my Thanksgiving New Tires, and headed for sleep... can't wait to see what surprise the weather has in store for us in the morning!

Phew... switching to Bloggerbeta has been a rough transition, but I think we're almost done now. Still can't get mobile blogging to work, but I fixed flickr, so here is a picture of the snow that fell last night, for you. Thanksgiving photos are up now too..

Dont Turn Your Back On Me

Traffic on the way home took over twice the normal travel time to negotiate tonight. 2 hours home. ugh.

Called Me Crazy

One of my favorite east coast bands, Girlyman, performs at the Tractor Tavern... after 4 years, I was finally in town for a show!!

Talina and George accompanied me to what was a surprisingly full house of screaming fans, and a really great show. I was thrilled to see they had such a great fan base here on the west coast. The new songs all sounded fantastic, can't wait for next year's new album.

Highlight: The obligatory audience participation song? "Rock Me Amadeus"

Dear everyone,

Mobile Blogging is the suck. But I'm still here. I'm reading Moby Dick for NaNoReMo. It's kinda funny, actually. It's not as scary as I thought. Besides, This Guy inspired me to read along with him, and he's looking up the hard words for me.

Mutually favorite quote so far: "In this world, shipmates, sin that pays its way can travel freely, and without a passport; whereas Virtue, if a pauper, is stopped at all frontiers."

P.S. By the way, my new adopted state pretty much rocks -- way to defeat the crappy initiatives, guys!

To See is to Know

Bodies Exhibit
Originally uploaded by Arboreality.

Went to the Bodies exhibit with Tad, Marya and Talina this weekend. Slightly overwhelming, definetly worth the trip. It made us all oddly hungry.

Blogger and my phone are not speaking right now, so forgive the slow updates... I'm trying to get it fixed!!
