A Still Life

A Still Life
Originally uploaded by Arboreality.

Went walking on Sunday at the UW mural. I wish the shadow wasn't there, because I really loved this one.

I am about to have a NOT-SO-Still-Life:

Sep 30 - Oct 1 : Chicago, IL
Oct 1 - Oct 6 : Atlanta, GA
Oct 7 - Oct 8 : San Francisco, CA
Oct 8 - Oct 19 : Buenos Aires, Argentina
Oct 20 - Oct 21 : San Francisco, CA
Oct 22 - Oct 24 : Seattle, WA
Oct 25 - Oct 26 : Los Angeles, CA
Oct 27 - .... : Seattle, WA

I'll update as I can, but I don't know how frequently I'll be in touch for the two weeks in Argentina.

Went hiking with George on Sunday at Mt. Rainier, Paradise Point. It was misty and wet, but the blueberries were ripe and the wildlife was out and about. Captured this guy overlooking his domain.

'Cause They Don't Have....

(...cow...boy....COWBOY LIPS...)

Saw The Bobs this evening with Jason and George. The set was short, because they shared the stage with a local band and a piano player, but it was still good. They did Light My Fire and Fluffy's Master Plan for World Domination, but I was sad and missed Cowboy Lips. Oh well.

I got a new camera, finally -- imitating my brother, I got a Pentax Optio W10, waterproof, 6mp, and with a great macro, which my older camera was lacking. The newest photos on Flickr were all taken with the new toy.

Delayed photo from Laura -- I was the Official Space Coordinator for their Door-to-Door box (having the most expeirence, I suppose), and she caught this photo just before we shoved in the mattress and the bike and shut the door. This photo reminds me of that coffee table book from a few years ago that went around the world taking shots of people in front of their houses with all of their belongings.

This Way To Self-Destruction

Salmon headed upstream to breed and die, seen from the fish ladder at Ballard Locks. Not a symbol of either my work nor my love life. Nope, not one bit. Stop laughing.
